New and Exciting Things for Norah

As Norah grows and develops she's ready to try some new things! It is so much fun to watch her explore and socialize. I love it!!! Here are a few pictures from the last two weeks.

All these girls were born within a month of each other and it's so encouraging to have friends who are literally going through the same stage of life as I am and they all have girls too! Norah is the oldest of the five girls but if she was born on time would have been the youngest (she's still the smallest and lags a little developmentally but no worries she'll catch up!). All the sudden, she sits up! This picture was the second day she was sitting but now that she's gotten the hang of it she's a little more upright! What a blast to watch her figure this out!!! I LOVE MOTHERHOOD!!!

Mt. Cutler on Easter!

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday, praise God for He is risen!!!

Since we don't have family in town and most of friends were busy with plans we made the best of a free day in CO! We went to church and then headed to Mt. Cutler by Cheyene Mt. It was a beautiful day and really great hike. It was about 3 miles which is really the perfect distance for our first outing this spring and Norah's first hike ever! Wrigley was so ecstatic and we just soaked in the sun.

After the hike we stopped in Old Colorado City for some custard and people watching. We got home and sat in our lawn chairs with a nice cold drink and David grilled up some steak! What a blessed day as a family. Here's some pictures from the hike.

Experiencing Boulder

A few weekends ago we decided we should take a day and explore Boulder! We are so glad we did :) We had a great family day and God blessed us with beautiful spring weather! We documented our day, enjoy!

A Wonderful Week!

Two weeks ago David traveled for work and I was BLESSED to fly to MN and see my family! I LOVED every minute of being with them and I think they enjoyed having Norah and me too :) A few really special things went on while we were in town and we're so glad to have been a part of it all.

AJ was the first one we got to surprise! He just walked in from work and he was THRILLED!! It was so fun.

This was so cute, Norah kept looking over Kim's arm at Nathan whenever he talked. I had to snap a pic of that cuteness.

Out to lunch with Nana and Kim! Another fun day in MN with amazing women.

So the BIG deal thing that happened was... Nathan and Kim got engaged!!!!! Yeah!!!!! I am so thrilled that I got to be home for the engagement announcement!!!!!! It just happened to be the same week I got my random standby ticket, God is good. We love Nathan already and are so excited to be blessed by watching Kim fall in love with him. It's so exciting and really rejuvenating to watch a couple fall in love, especially when you see them doing it in step with the Lord. I respect Nathan for the way he's "courted" Kim and how he's been cautious as they've been dating. Again, we are so blessed to get him in our family. The other side of it comes with a few tears... Kim is growing up, she's moving out (finally right mom?! :) just kidding... and she's going to be a wife!! Can't wait for the wedding this coming summer/fall! Congrats Kim & Nathan, we love you guys.

And... I love these two amazing parents.

My dad got back from a mission trip in Guatemala while Norah and I were in town! It was fun to surprise him when he arrived back to the states. Thanks for sharing about your experiences Dad and for serving those girls in Guatemala.

Thai Chicken Curry

We tried another new recipe that we loved! No pictures this time but it's soooo good, try it!

Season 1 1/4 pounds chicken cutlets with salt. Cook in batches with canola oil over medium heat until golden; remove and slice. Add 2 sliced bell peppers and 1/4 cup water to pan; cook until tender. Add 2 tablespoons red curry paste and 15 ounces of coconut milk; simmer for 4 minutes. Add the chicken; serve with rice, basil and lime.

Okay so I made a few adjustments... I added pineapple since we had it and it was awesome! Also, I skipped the basil since I didn't have it :) This was so good but it wasn't very spicey so you can always add more curry paste depending on how HOT you like it! Enjoy it, we sure did.
